With over three decades of experience in insurance and risk management, as well as alternative risk solutions, Lester James Nixon is a well-known veteran in the industry. He became a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1986, a milestone in his long and successful career. Lester now lives quietly in North Carolina, devoting his time to gardening and writing. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is also a passionate philanthropist, being the founder and president of the Patrick Luc Nixon Foundation. Founded in honor of his beloved son Patrick, who died in 2020, the Foundation offers scholarships to deserving students who are studying at the University of North Carolina and celebrates Patrick’s life by creating opportunity and educational opportunities.
